Introduction
The Institute of Digital Health in Society (ISNS), located at Paris Santé Campus, is recruiting a research engineer for a 12-month renewable contract, funded by France 2030 through the ANR, as part of the targeted SaNSo project within the PEPR Digital Health program.
Main Responsibilities
The recruited individual will be responsible for processing and analyzing data from the French National Health Data System (SNDS). Their duties will include developing and automating a relational schema to facilitate the use of this data for ongoing research projects.
In support of ISNS activities, the research engineer will contribute to multiple studies on the impact of health data, including:

Analyzing the effects of hospital mergers on the availability and quality of care;

Studying care pathways and medical prescriptions to better understand doctor-patient matching;

Evaluating the effects of a vaccination campaign by measuring its direct and indirect impacts.
Additionally, the recruited individual will participate in ISNS’s collective activities, such as organizing seminars, drafting scientific publications, and disseminating knowledge in the field of digital health.
Profile Sought
The position is open to candidates with a Master’s or PhD in disciplines such as economics, epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or demography. An engineering degree in statistics (ENSAE/ENSAI) or data science is also acceptable.
Experience in data analysis and programming (notably in R, Python, or SQL) is required to handle complex databases effectively. Prior knowledge of health databases, particularly the SNDS, would be a valuable asset.
